Pete is a Vermont native, web developer, writer, soundtrack composer, wildlife advocate, and assistant to Willy (Tamarack’s office dog).
During a hiatus from the Green Mountain State, Pete worked at the San Diego Zoo and Defenders of Wildlife; he also directed education programs at a black bear sanctuary in northern Minnesota. While co-founding Tamarack, Pete received support from Wild Gift, a network of better world entrepreneurs. Pete currently serves on the boards of Wild Gift and the Vermont Land Trust. He is a former Doris Duke Conservation Fellow, and a Senior Fellow in the Environmental Leadership Program.
Pete especially enjoys helping people and organizations overcome technological barriers to reach their constituents. He likes to say that Tamarack “takes one for the team,” spending lots of time on a computer so you don’t have to. He balances his computer time with frequent trips into the wilderness.
